These terms are an agreement between you and Genuine, a free dating app run by an individual developer based in Israel (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you accept them. Please also read our privacy policy.
1. Who can use Genuine
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You may have one account, and it must be about you: your real first name, your own recent photos and true answers.
- You may not use Genuine if we have previously removed you, or if you have been convicted of a sexual or violent offence.
2. How to behave
Treat people with respect. You may not:
- harass, threaten, intimidate or stalk anyone, on or off the app;
- post sexually explicit, violent, hateful or discriminatory content, or nudity;
- pretend to be someone else, or use photos of other people;
- ask anyone for money, or advertise, sell or promote anything;
- share someone else’s personal information or contact details without their consent;
- send spam, use bots or automated tools, or try to get around limits, blocks or our security;
- break any law.
3. Your content
You are responsible for the photos and text you add. You keep ownership of them, and give us permission to store them and show them to other members as the app is designed to, only for running Genuine. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content kept in a report (see the privacy policy).
4. Safety
- Block or report anyone from their profile or any chat. Blocking is immediate, and you never have to reply to anyone.
- We review reports and may remove content, or suspend or remove accounts, at our discretion.
- We do not run criminal background checks or verify identities. Take care when you meet someone: meet in a public place, tell a friend where you are going, and get there and back on your own.
- In an emergency in Israel, call the police on 100. Elsewhere, call your local emergency number.
5. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile › Settings › Delete account. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. If you think we got it wrong, write to support@genuinemeet.com.
6. The service
Genuine is free. We work to keep it available and safe, but we provide it “as is”, without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that you will find a match. We may change or stop features. We are not responsible for how other members behave, on or off the app.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by other members. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Israel have jurisdiction, without taking away any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
9. Changes
If we change these terms, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using Genuine after that, the new terms apply.
